HTC's plans for their smartwatch are postponed

One month ago, engadget told its fans that HTC has postponed their plans for its new smartwatch. According to Re/code, they have done this because "it doesn't seem that 'anyone has gotten it right'." This week, HTC is planning to have their own launch event this week, they won't announce anything regarding their smartwatch. 

The company still wants to create its watch, but they need figure out a strategy to make the watch stand out, especially regarding battery life.

Windows 10 Preview!!

Windows 8 was a semi success in that when it was first created, people weren't too used to have a Windows computer with a start button that opens up on the bottom left corner of the screen. However, today anybody that has a Windows 8 computer will say that it is very easy to use, even if it isn't touch screen (at least that is what I say). 

Recently, Microsoft has announced their newest Windows operating system, WIndows 10! Now, it is strange for Microsoft to jump from Windows 8 to Windows 10, but they do have their reasons. The main reason why Microsoft has skipped to Windows 10 is because the name "Windows 9" ran into problems with code that was used as a shortcut to detect when apps are running on Windows 95 or Windows 98.

But now back to the main topic, Windows 10. As the preview shows, Microsoft has decided to revert back to the original start screen, which has a start button on the bottom left of the screen and when pushed, a menu appears. Additionally, features of Windows 8 have been retained like charms, but Microsoft says that more change is coming. 

Windows 10 is now available to download as a beta, but be aware that there will be plenty of bugs.

LG reveals a ROUND smartwatch

Recently, Google has created three popular Android Wear smartwatches, which are competing with Samsung's smartwatches. The Moto 360 was a big talk at Google's developer conference in June, which is another smartwatch that is round. However, next week, in Berlin, LG will be introducing its new smartwatch, called the LG G Watch R. 

This watch will be different compared to the original Android Wear LG G watch because firstly it is a round watch, and the second thing that is different is that the watch comes with a button on the side. But LG isn't the only company that is competing with Samsung and Motorola, ASUS,  HTC, and Apple are also trying to beat each other in the race to create the best watch in the market.

Comparison between 2 Powerful Fuel Efficient Cars: 2014 Tesla Model S P85+ vs. 2014 BMW i8

The Telsa Model S was a very unique and new car to the automobile industry because it was a great car. with a 17 inch touch screen that controls the car, and the car runs and pure electricity. But then BMW created their own idea and came up with the BMW i8, BMW's new drivetrain, eDrive. This means that the car runs on electricity, but in this particular case. the car can also run on gasoline, if the driver wants to drive competitively But the main question is: Which car is better and why?

 According to Motortrend's article. the Tesla Model S P85+ is a better car than the BMW i8, with which I agree with because there are several reason. The primary reason why the Tesla is better is because the car is a "Greener" car than the BMW, in that the Tesla is only battery powered, whereas the BMW is half electric, and half gasoline powered. Additionally, the BMW i8 isn't a family car. although it has four seats, because  the car only has two doors, and the passengers in the back will have to struggle with space. Also, the Tesla has a bigger trunk than the i8, with the i8 only managing to fit 1 suitcase in its 4.7 cubic foot trunk. It is no doubt that BMW has put great effort into creating the i8, but the Tesla would beat it in comparison any day.

The new IBM super BRAIN computing chip

IBM has always been an innovative company, creating revolutions in the computing industry, with one of he first personal computer, the ThinkPad, and Watson, the world's first supercomputer. But three years ago, IBM had revealed their prototype for a human brain-inspired computer chip, SyNAPSE (Systems of Neuromorphic Adaptive Plastic Scalable Electronics). 

The original prototype had only a single core, but now the chip has improved significantly and has over 1 million neurons, 256 million synapses, and 4096 neurosynaptic cores, only the chip needs only 70 mW of power to actually function. This is a significant achievement for IBM, and this achievement has reached the cover of the journal Science. Additionally, IBM's Chief Scientist Dr. Dharmendra S. Modha says that the amount of power required for this chip to work is equivalent to the the battery required for a hearing aid to function!

The Long Forgotten Aston Martin Lagonda returns!

The Aston Martin Lagonda makes it return after 2 decades. This car was a legend for the British sports car company, and they say that the new one will extremely exclusive. It is so exclusive that only a very small amount of people will be able to purchase the car. Aston Martin's design Director says that the main market for this car would be the Middle East, being that the car would cost around $1.8 million or more. 

The new Lagonda will be replacing the Towns Lagonda, which was a lanky and wedge-shaped V8 that was manufactured between 1987 and 1990. The car will be 19 feet long, which is one foot longer than the Towns Lagonda. 

The production of the car will start in 2015.

Amazing: Porsche and Hyundai are at the top for the JD Power APEAL Study!

The JD Power APEAL test is done every year to see how pleased owners of certain cars. For the 10th consecutive year, Porsche has been rated the best premium in the APEAL study. Additionally, Hyundai, although being a non premium car brand, was only 8 points below the lowest premium car rated, which is Volvo. This year, 4 non premium car brands finished above the usual average, which include Volkswagen, Mini Cooper, Ram, and Hyundai.

The only brands to receive any recognition at all were Porsche and Hyundai, though Dodge was able tie with Porsche for most of the segment awards.
